This Policy sets out the rules governing use of web hosting, VPS and infrastructure services provided by Get Hosting UK.
1. General Principles
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Services must only be used for lawful purposes and must not be used to transmit, distribute or store material that violates applicable UK or international laws.
2. Fair Usage of Unlimited Resources
Certain shared hosting packages may offer “unlimited” bandwidth or disk space. This is subject to fair usage and normal operation of standard personal or small business websites.
Prohibited Storage: Shared hosting must not be used as off-site backup storage, file-sharing portals or media streaming hubs.
Resource Abuse: You must not consume excessive CPU, RAM or Disk I/O that degrades performance for other customers.
Inode Limits: Shared hosting accounts are subject to an inode limit of 250,000 files unless a different limit is specified in your plan.
3. Zero Tolerance Anti-Spam Policy
Get Hosting UK operates a strict zero-tolerance policy against spam and bulk unsolicited emailing.
Opt-in mailing lists are permitted if they comply with UK GDPR and include a clear unsubscribe link.
Shared hosting environments are limited to 250 emails per hour, per domain, unless otherwise agreed.
If your actions cause our IP addresses to be blacklisted, your account may be suspended and you may be billed for technical time required to delist the IP.
4. Prohibited Content and Activities
- Illegal material including CSAM, which will be reported to appropriate UK authorities.
- Copyright-infringing material, pirated software, illicit streaming or torrent trackers.
- Malware, viruses, worms, ransomware or code designed to disrupt networks.
- Phishing, fraud, cryptocurrency scams or forged document generators.
- Extremist content promoting terrorism, violence or hate speech against protected groups.
5. System and Network Security
- DDoS attacks or participation in network attacks.
- Unauthorized access to data, servers or accounts.
- Port scanning or vulnerability probing without written consent.
- Cryptocurrency mining on any platform, including VPS servers.
6. Product-Specific Policies
Resellers are responsible for abuse by their clients and must suspend offending accounts quickly.
VPS users have dedicated resources but must not use shared network capacity for malicious traffic or outbound attacks.
7. Enforcement and Suspension
We may issue a warning, temporarily suspend a service, permanently terminate an account without refund, or report activity to law enforcement or regulatory bodies. We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a violation of this Policy.
